Operator - Senior, HPGR (high pressure grinding rolls)

A position has become available for an Operator - Senior HPGR ( High Pressure Grinding Rolls) to join our team in Kakula.
Job description
Job Purpose
Conduct operation and perform basic maintenance for area equipment, which includes; HPGR/ belt conveyor / feeder / screen / iron remover to continuously offer sufficient crushed and screening qualified ores for primary ball mill and finally meet production requirements.
Key Performance Areas
- Comply with all safety requirements
- Area safety supervision
- Keep working area clean
- Operate area equipment as per SOPs to ensure high operation rate and meet production requirement
- Equipment management, do basic lubrication for area equipment and basic equipment maintenance to ensure plant availability
- Equipment inspection and report drawbacks
- Production troubleshooting to maintain efficient production
- Adjust area production according to production of ROM area and ball mill, ensure sufficient feed
- Check crushing and screening effect to ensure qualified ores
- Unload iron/metal from remover; remove iron from belt once detected
- Training/skills transfer
Minimum requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years’ experience of HPGR and screening
- Mechanical technician; 8 years’ experience of HPGR and screening or 3 years’ crushing and screening section shift boss
Skills
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent understanding of equipment lubrication and maintenance
- Able to detect operating abnormalities and propose corrective measures.
- Good understanding of HPGR structure/principle/lubrication/operation
- Basic metallurgy knowledge
- Skilled in area production
- Troubleshooting ability
- Familiar with upstream and downstream processes
